Phase One: A babe in the Wilderness[/color]

New People, New Places, New Styles-(New Orleans-Unnamed cafe)
Fresh into town, Donovan walks into a cafe that's in the process of being robbed by a pair of werewolves. He gets a little beat up, and might very well have been killed, if it wasn't for the quick thinking and skill of Aria Morgan, who he promptly got into an argument with for believing in werewolves and other things.

Cuz I want to LIVE -(New Orleans-Unnamed Hotel)
Immediately after the cafe incident, Donovan found more excitement at the hotel he was checking into. He became involved in a conflict between a witch and the group of vampires trying to kill her. While he survived, he certainly chafed Kera Jones' feelings, accusing her of everything from insanity to drug abuse.

Is it the Slayer, or the Hunted-(New Orleans-Outdoors, Unnamed Hotel)--still ongoing

Donovan encounters a white wolf while out on a walk, who he dubs "Snowflake". As it turns out, Snowflake is actually the lupine form of Iris, the first werewolf he'd ever met. Somehow, Donovan manages to put two and two together after only a few minutes after meeting Iris in her human form, and she opens his eyes to the realities of the world. At first, Donovan thinks he's just got a crush on her, but after she runs to him for help after a vampire ambush, he realizes it's far more than a simple schoolboy crush, but this only magnifies his self-esteem issues. Iris offers to help him learn some things to help protect him, seeming to read his mind almost.

The Pub-(New Orleans-unnamed pub/Donovan's hotel)
(Takes place roughly a day after The Slayer or the Hunted)

Donovan heads to a pub, needing a drink to process everything that's changed in his world in such a short time. He runs back into Kera, the witch he'd encountered before. He does what he can to make amends, apologizing and buying her dinner, but succeeds in totally making her cry by talking genocide against the vampires. She still offers to teach him some basic magic so he can protect himself. Figuring that more knowledge can't be a bad thing, he agrees to let her teach him. She starts to, and he shows a bit of an aptitude for what little she's shown him, but the training is interrupted by the introduction of Damned, who is stalking Kera for her magic.-Leads directly to "Oh, and this is New York."

Oh, and This is New York (New York-Kera's apartment)---still ongoing
Donovan heads to New York with Kera, fearful that she's going to get herself hurt in her weakened state. However, Kera offends him and causes him to leave in a flurry of anger. Now alone, Kera is being attacked by a vampire.

PHASE TWO--THE END OF INNOCENCE

In the Belly of the Beast-New Orleans(Goth Club-Mina's Embrace)---still ongoing

Donovan gets what he'd consider to be a dream job...dj'ing in a goth club. Unfortunately, we all know what that means in this city.

Lucky for him, the only vampire in the club this night is Gabrielle Helio. They hit it off well enough, until he realizes that all of his jokes about her being a vampire are dangerously close to the mark. This causes a freak out, but he gets himself under control, and soon afterwards, they're back to being friends, and at least at this point, they seem to be heading toward a tight friendship.

Holding in the Pain and Animal Instincts (Bistro 38/Don's hotel room)---still in progress
Donovan finally gets his wish, taking Iris out to dinner. Things initially are awkward, thanks to a well-meaning waitress, but soon enough, things explode in a flurry of kisses, and Don and Iris are a couple. Back at the hotel, however, they find a vampire waiting, and Don's nearly killed, saved only by Iris' strength. Shades of deeper feelings are being shown as they prepare to cuddle up in the aftermath of the fight.

A Slight Case of Deja-Vu (New Orleans-Unnamed Coffee Shop)
Donovan heads to a familiar coffee shop to do some research on magic, and runs back into Faith, the wide-eyed girl from his first moments in New Orleans. He quickly frustrates her with his veiled talk of danger in the town, and feels there's no other choice but to reveal that the supernatural is indeed real and performs a small feat of magic. Sadly, this sends Faith into a panic of delirium and she runs away, sure she's insane.

It's Been a Hard Day's Night-(Dallas-Mel's Roadhouse)
Donovan has his first real encounter alone with a vampire, who has caught up with him while he hones his magic. Donovan discovered two things: his temper makes him stronger magically, and that he's got a severely cruel aspect to himself that he can easily get lost in.
He ran to Dallas, fearing that trouble would find Iris if he looked for her. He calls Aria, needing someone to talk to, and she persuades him to call Iris, so they can go to a safe house in the area and lay low.

Not Such a Safe House After All!(Dallas-Aria's safehouse)---still in progress
Hiding out for awhile, Don and Iris end up confessing deeper feelings for each other, much to Aria's eavesdropping disgust. Sadly, vampires are in the area, and attack the trio. Don's particular cruel streak is on full display for both Aria and Iris to see.

Don's B'day Party--NC-17 (Anchorage-Iris' house)---still ongoing

Iris throws a surprise party for Don, who seems to have REALLY been aching for her. Their whirlwind romance continues to intensify, where Don basically spouts a lot of incredibly poetic things to Iris, pouring his heart out to her. The whole thing gets kicked up to another notch when he asks her to bite him, and then there's a graphic sex scene which some younger members have said was "disturbing, and brain damaging."

Iris and Don bond fully, and Don begins to deal with the early stages of lycanthropy onset. He also has far less graphic sex with her. He ends up in her dreams, where she's having a nightmare of the night her mother died, causing him to learn of his more Iris-centric power, and also that his hand can burst into flame.

Phase Three: Who's the real monster?

A Spot of Whiskey--(New Orleans/Morgan's Bar)---still ongoing

Donovan meets Cormac, Aria's father, on his quest to find his daughter. She soon appears, and Donovan gets to witness the odd dynamic they have. Aria also gets to be the first friend of Don's to find out what's changed about him. He's largely a bystander in this thread, though.

Changed-(New Orleans/Back Alley)-----still ongoing

Donovan runs back into Faith, shortly after both of them have joined the werewolf and vampire races. Things go poorly as both of them struggle with their instincts, and neither one has their maker to tell them what to believe or what to do.
Aria comes along, probably preventing a fight to the death, and eventually summons Gabrielle to the scene to try and help Faith. Moments after Gabrielle arrives, Faith leaves, having been largely repelled by Donovan's steadfast refusal to believe that she's not a monster.
Feeling a combination of conflicting thoughts, instincts, and guilt, Donovan leaves Aria and Gabrielle's company, to try and sort things out in his mind.
