"Oh, I love France. I haven't been there in years, though."
She told him as she smiled slightly as she remembered the last time she had been there. It was so beautiful, so beautiful she had wanted to move there. But, due to her family's buisness, she couldn't. And her getting married a few years after that was another reason.
"It's not as nice as the Musee du Louvre, but it's still a pretty nice place to go. Especially if you got nothing else better to do."
Smiling, she nodded when he asked her if she would show him around the Water Tower.
"Sure, I'd love to show you around. And I'll gladly show you any other place you would wish to see."
She offered, smiling once again. It was her nature to be nice to people. Even though she was now a vampire, whom were known for being cold hearted, she couldn't hide her human ways. It was like giving up smoking or something. Way too hard.

Meli smiled when she told him that she had been there. Ever since he had gone, he believed that every one should at least once. The place was simply amazing. "After having been there, I'm not sure that anything can honestly compare to the Musee du Louvre. But as long as its quiet, and has some good art, I'm sure I'll enjoy it." A grin crossed his features. He lived for the here and now, and she might have meant something else, but he took it to mean tonight. "Excellent. Shall we then? I'll think of a few other places after. If we have time of course." He stood up and tossed a few bills onto the table. While most paid the waiters, he didn't care. No one tried to steal around here, not that that was extremely hard to figure out. He held out his arm for her to take so that they could leave. More often than not he was cold hearted, but for tonight, he decided to set aside his idiosyncrasies and simply enjoy the evening.

Letting a smile appear on her face, Gabrielle took his arm as she stood up. She was actually quite glad they would be doing something for she kind of hated being in one place for more then an hour or two. She liked moving around, got more things done that way.
"I'm sure we'll have time."
She said, her smile widening on her face. It was odd she was being so friendly with another one of her kind, but she was actually quite glad not all of them were the same.

He lowered the brim of his hat as he set it on his head which some took for a polite tip of his hat and nodded their heads to him in return. Smiling at Gabrielle he held the door open and moved them out onto the street. "Do we catch a cab or maybe just take a walk?" he asked softly. The quiet, and dark night always made him talk softly. The immensity of the star filled sky reminded him for some reason of how small he really was. Meli glanced at her with a lifted brow, curious of her response. He was more than willing to take a cab but if it was close by they might as well walk and enjoy the night air.

"Would you mind walking? It's not that far from here."
Gabrielle smiled slightly at him. She loved walking. Which was odd because when she was human, she dispised walking anywhere. But, once she was turned into a vampire, walking became one of those things she had to do. The fact it was so nice out was another reason why she wanted to walk.
"Unless you want to take cab, that's fine too."

"Walking is fine. I enjoy the night time air." He replied. Smiling in return, he led her down the street moving at a leisurely pace. He felt no compelling need to move quickly, almost as though the night would last forever. Scratching his chin he glanced over at her and smirked. "Well Miss Gabie, I know you enjoy a lil' danger, and thrill. So tell me, what are your hobbies? They must be fascinating, if thinking of breaking into an art museum is just for fun." Meli drew a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, pulled out one and lit the tip. He blew the smoke away from her and looked over to her again, letting his hand fall away from his mouth after leaving the cigarette between his teeth.

Gabrielle grinned as she let out a light laugh as she thought about the things she usually did. She might not of looked it, but she loved to do exciting that most people wouldn't do, especially vampires.
"Well, besides breaking into places late at night. I love doing anything a normal person wouldn't do. For example, egging the police on. Like, really making them angry."
A smirk appeared on her face as she thought of one time she had made a police officer so angry, his face turned a bright shade of red and he started cursing at her. He attempted to chase her, but she was took quick for him.
"It's childish, I know. But, some police officers can get so easily mad. It's just funny to see how mad they will get."

Meli chuckled lightly and took the cigarette from his mouth. "I wouldn't say childish. Entertainment is after all some thing we all have to find. Besides, I believe there are three worlds. The Mortal world, with humans, and most animals. The In-Between world, where we, or other such irregular creatures, and some animals live. And the true immortal world. Where what I imagine gods live in, but for all I know there are really only two worlds." He laughed at that, he didn't know for sure, and he didn't care either; After all he would either met his maker, or not, when his second death came. "Anyway, what I was trying to say, was that since we live in a world slightly outside of this one, we look for...more powerful pursuits, hobbies, and entertainments." He smiled down at her and took an inhale of smoke, blowing it out in trailing wisps. "I apologize, sometimes my mind wanders from the point."

Gabrielle smiled, shaking her head slightly. She didn't mind at all that he thoughts wandered. It was pretty normal to her.
"You don't have to apologize. It just shows you have a lot to think about and say." She smiled at him. "Which is always a good a thing."
"I'm glad you don't think I'm childish for messing with policemen. It would be a first." She admitted, laughing a bit. Usually when she told others that, they usually just looked at her odd and that she needed to grow up. But, the only problem with growing up, was, she couldn't. She was stuck at the age of twenty. And she planned to act twenty for as long as she could. "So, what about you? What exciting things do you do?"

Meli gave a crooked smile and finished the last few drags from his cigarette before he placed it between thumb and forefinger, and flicked it onto the road. Mankind shall inherit the earth. Well, he wasn't part of mankind anymore, and therefore he wasn't about the get the world. So its care befell someone else's shoulders. "I place threatening phone calls to the presidents from little old ladies houses." he said it with a straight face, but then the facade cracked and the corners of his mouth twitched into a smile. "Well not really. Actually, I'm a thief." He did smile this time, but somehow it was different. It was calm, and serious in its own way, something that spoke of truth. "Makes life interesting, and it lets me see the world." Those were great qualifications for a job, and it was one he absolutely loved. The thrill of taking something from a high security area was something that nothing else could compare to. "Other than that, I'm actually a boring person. Hide by day, steal by night, and all that fun. I hunt occasionally, enjoy books, swords, and good music. Thats really about it for me." He wasn't that good with conversation, and his other awareness kept tugging at him whenever they passed something that another vampire had touched. It was something about meli that had confused him all the time. He could sense another vampires passing, and it often made for distracting moments.

"I almost truly believed that you place threatening phone calls to the president." Gabie admitted, laughing a bit. She felt a little embarrassed, but hid it when a grin appeared on her face. "A thief? How..." She racked her brain for the correct word to use. "Mysterious." Her grin widened. It probably wasn't the right word to use, but she couldn't really think of anything else to describe a thief. "May I ask some of the things you've stolen?" Of course she was curious, she wanted to know what things a vampire would steal or if they were any different from what a human would take. "Oh, I love books! You should see my book collection at home. I had to convert a bedroom into a library so they'd all fit." She laughed, thinking about it. Yes, she loved to read that much, she had a library at home. It sounded a little odd to some since they thought she had an obsession, but it was more of a hobby to her.

Chuckling softly along with her, he tucked his hand into his pocket and smirked when she said mysterious. For some reason that word made him think of a spy, but he was no where near one of those. "I have taken much yet really. A few pieces of jewelry. A handful of uncut diamonds one time from a mobster. You see, I do these things, just for the thrill, so I tend to do it in the moment and thats about all." He shrugged and looked at the store windows they passed. "A few times I went into a store, and came out with nothing." He gave her a grin flashing his white teeth, and laughed. "Once when I was in New York, I went into a toy store there, and played for hours. Cleaned up and left an hour before workers came in. It was fun as all hells though." Meli glanced at her and smiled at her comments on books. "Excellent. Books are the collective knowledge of the ages." he smiled and looked at her with interest. "Really? I'd love to have a library. Of course, for that I'd need a house, but congratulations! A library at your disposal must be wondrous. As I said, all the collective knowledge ages gathers in books. Wether they are true novels or not, lessons can always be learned."

"I would love to go into a toy store and play for hours...but, seeing all those toys and such would probably just make me depressed." She said, slightly grinning. It was sad something so joyful reminded her of her past. Her grin widened as she decided to stop thinking about her past. "I agree with you on that. To bad most people now a day's prefer to watch television or something that doesn't involve sitting for awhile." She shook her head, sighing. It was sad that people didn't appreciate a good book, especially the younger people. "But, of course, most people weren't born in the 1920's or such, so they wouldn't get why I don't watch television." She smirked, remembering her childhood and how all she used to do was read.

He glanced over at her when she said it would make her depressed. He was going to have change that opinion. Because no one felt sad in a huge toy store with the right people. It was just too much fun, afterwards dark thoughts could creep back, but to give in once and a while to childish laughter always cleansed the mind. Meli tended to be hard and cold, but even he had to do it once in a while, if not for himself, for Jake inside his head. Sometimes that mans sanity slipped, not that it was unreasonable. Jakes mind was constantly tampered with, Meli didn't want him to understand the actual time amount that passed. "Mm, completely." he nodded in agreement about the people sitting around. "The times allow us to get lazier and lazier. Although they did make that new toy, whats it called." he thought about it for a moment then chuckled. "Oh yeah, A hula hoop. Those look interesting." He laughed slightly. Toys had always interested him, they were like hobbies even though he didn't usually play with any. "And, the Space Race is going on. I admire humans for that, attempting to wreck two planets at once and all." He chuckled again and glanced over at her. "I wasn't born in the 20's, but television isn't my thing either."

"Oh yeah, I've heard about that toy." She grinned widely as she remembered what it looked like. "I'm almost tempted to go buy one." She laughed. "I wonder how many adults buy kid toys for themselves?" The more she thought about it, she was pretty sure either none or very few adults played with kids toys. But, that's what she thought. She knew she could of been wrong. "Ah, right. I completely forgot about the Space Race." She smirked. "That's certainly going to be intresting." She looked at him, grinning sheepishly. "Being born in the nineteen twenties isn't all that great. Especially if you live with people who were completely strict about everything."
