Vampire Application
Name: Evrard Stefan Leroux
Year of Human Birth:1581
Year of Change:1610
Age(both at change and now): at change: 29 ; now: 427
Birthplace and place of residence currently: born: Versailles, France ; Currently Residing: Montpillier, Vermont
Creator: (name of the vampire who turned you) Cardinal Richelieu
Avatar (the celebrity that represents you, if any): Jonathon Rhys Meyers
Looks and Attire(picture optional):
Overall: Evrard overall is a stunning gorgeous man. His looks put most male models to shame, his skin a stunning pale color, his muscles fully defined at every angle, it’s almost as if he possess the body of an angel. At least to the human eye. He also smells quite nice. Without cologne.
Eyes: Evrard’s eyes are the color of Lapis Lazuli (a rare stone mined in Afghanistan, think sort of a darker version of aquamarine and you’ve got it), having a slight mix of traditional violet when he becomes hungry. His eyes are almond shaped, his brows quite kempt for a male.
Hair: brown/dark brown (depending on season) worn, to be sort of stylish, a spike or perhaps just left down, depending on if he is dressing to impress. Born as a gentleman he keeps up with the latest styles and acquisitions.
Lips: Soft, yet subtly firm. A light hint of pink gracing them to match the paleness of his skin. Look as if they’re constantly glossed or shiny (most likely due to the hint of blood left across them. His lips are medium sized. Not too full, but not too thin either. It’s a nice balance.
Skin: His skin always feels icy. The color of an off white or a creamy beige, a soft hint of tan left in him from his natural Versailles heritage. His skin carries an almost snow white color, or better said as a metallic pearl color (or as if he is always sweating, but never producing prespiration) The light in a room automatically pertains to him.
Frame: Chest is fully defined, though curved and not fully developed muscular wise, abdomen is the same way, yet he has a soft scar going vertically down the middle towards his belly button (no longer then an inch) that was given to him before he was changed (thus it didn’t heal) His legs are longer then most. Very however they match his body and strong lined face.
Unique Emblems: A Shield of Versaille’s is tattoed to his upper right shoulder blade. It is usually hidden by his clothing. Not to mention the scar on his stomach.
Personality(at least a paragraph):
Evrard, is not your typical vampire, though many would seem to think he is looking at him now. At one time he was a very powerful man, taken in by the jewels and prosperities of his human lifestyle. Born to the Duke of one who became known as King Henri VI later in 1589. After only a few years of his father being on the throne, Evrard had become used to the riches in which being royal brought you, and though he was in the spotlight a lot of the time (of course figuratively as spot lights were not made back then) He sort of grew used to this type of pre historic celebrity lifestlye.
Being changed however, did what of course stated, It changed him. It made him into a new man, and he saw the world in a new light. A new world full of animosity and eternal revenue. You could reap what you sewed in this new world and not have to worry too much about being stabbed to taken alive. Though he was never into the faux personalities of humans, which is what makes him uninterested in them to this day.
Strengths/Powers(no normal vampire strengths): -Evrard has the power to charm people. Much like the good smell that was mentioned before, though he doesn’t wear sprays, he has a natural scent that attracts both males and female to him, which makes feeding for him quite easy, as most of his pray he doesn’t even have to fight. His eyes also seem to be penetrating, but not dark. Which makes his victims more illusive and almost unlikely to scream.
-Evrard also has the power of extreme agility. He is quite speedy and can maneuver around an adversary very quickly, or flee from a scene if a chance that he may be caught feeding happens.
-Evrard is also good with weapons.
Weaknesses(no holy water or stakes or normal vamp weaknesses): -The tattoo on his upper right shoulder, provides him of his weakness. It is like a scar so to speak that can never go away, and still holds all the pain of the brand in which it was pressed on with (as tattoos weren’t given with ink back then) it is most likely one of his only weak spots in one on one battle.
History: (at least 250 words)
(OOC: Hopefully you don’t mind if I do it in first person. I think it makes it so much easier when trying to figure out the character, if I picture him saying it.)
“My life was never about fairytales. I ne’er had to dream in order to get what I wanted, it was simply provided to me, and in that aspect I enjoyed every bit of it, though I do not consider myself to be greedy, however, I do like to have my share of things and have grown quite used to the lavish necessities that I have been forebode.
I lived life as a prince for several years serving in my father’s court. Conforming France to Catholicism and of course the pope. My father was a very smart man and wanted me to take after him however, I had other intentions. Visiting a pub one night I miraculously came upon a small female, who was speaking with a Cardinal (a member of the pope’s council. Also a leader of the king’s court as well) of course come to find out, this small female had done the Cardinal in that night, and had changed him to something I could never truly understand however, that night with a small bite before the female pulled him away, I was changed into something longer living then I had ever expected.
From then on, I was vanished from my father’s court. I was considered something evil. Something unaccepted by the church and it’s peoples and I was exiled from the Court at Paris, in which of course sent me back to Versailles, in which I awaited my token years, where people might forget about the old king and welcome in a new one. Eventually my father’s death became adamant, and that is possible one of the two things I regret throughout my years of living. Not getting to kill him myself.
I of course attended the funeral with a cloak over my head and a broken smile upon my face, watching as my family cried over the man I hated. Someone else got to put in the work that I wanted so badly to have done myself however, the job was indeed finished. From then I lived as a nobleman serving in Versailles from time to time, to those who remembered me as Prince, Though I particularly didn’t’ care for the humans they were what fed me and the few in Versailles were I lived were under my constant protection. I am very picky about what I eat, but when someone messes with a friend, they get bitten. End of story.
Eventually I began to venture out from my fair Versailles looking for new hunting grounds and new isolations that I could obtain and meet with a challenge. That is when I met her. Veera Lancreet the most beautiful site I’d ever laid eyes upon. She stumbled right into my arms and immediately I kissed her neck and changed her into one of my kind. She was like a wounded child, but more so a wounded woman that I could take care of and love, instead of living this eternal life in solitude and despair, waiting until someone jabbed a piece of wood into my chest.
When she awoke, I explained to her the details of my kind and after that we served in the courts together as husband and wife (or at least seemingly, though vowels were never taken). Soon however, news of an oncoming invasion had been sent down through the courts. Women of course not being told of this news, as back then, women didn’t uphold much right. Though I have always believed in equal rights for women, who are of course my kind.
The attack however, happened much sooner then I had expected, and my house was set ablaze, Causing me to tell Veera to run and never look back. I had a plan and I stuck with it. During my tenure with Veera I didn’t show her much of my fighting ability or how harsh I could be towards the human race, however, someone had attacked my dear Versailles and the people needed protection. I eventually went to vampire form and in outlandish fashions killed each and every person plotting the rebellion against the newest king of France, and then once the people of Versailles knew of what I was, I could not longer stay there. With my speed I was able to fake my own death and thus I went into my state of dispair once again. Losing my love and myself in those ashes of that battlefield. For months, I went to Alaska (after crossing the sea, by ship.) I traveled across the Arizona Desert (which at that time was owned by Mexico) and there I began to feed on animals, as there were hardly any humans to bare my life with.
I have heard that my skin has become so icy cold due to the fact that I lived in those conditions for over one hundred years, though I always remembered my skin being sub zero temperatures ( or close to that). Eventually I moved to Vermont, which still had mostly the same temperatures as Alaska, and rarely had any sun thanks to the vast vegetation. I still hunt for Veera though I have heard she is close by. I hope to find her one day.”
Sample/Past Roleplay:
MYSTERY IS A BEAUTIFUL THING
“Making up is the hardest part. Friendships should never die.”
Her eyes were radiant, they were filled with life.
A woman breaking out ending the strife.
Her hair long and gold, fix and made straight.
Never a moment would she wait.
The night had come, the night of the masquerade.
A dance so solemn, like a game of charades.
Her dress was purple, made of linen so serene.
Her pale skin glimmered in the moonlight, our darling girl was pristine.
Stepping out into the heat.
Her gaze met many of the men she had beat.
All standing there in masks and tights.
All ready for their next chance to fight.
It was not them that she as after.
She wanted more, not just laughter.
She wanted to hold the biggest title indeed.
The xWo title that was her steed.
Her dress draped the floor, as the ballroom lit up.
One man she’d be meeting for the match up.
A dance they would be having, their mask would fly off.
Dress vs. Suit, a big match aloff.
This man was strong, bigger then most.
A bald head, a broken smile, a roaring wind bigger then the coast.
His ocean tide would toss and tumble
Leaving his opponents without even a mumble.
A mystery had set these two foes.
She had an advantage, in leaving his woes.
She would beat him like no other had.
A beautiful mystery, for him would end bad.
Miniscule attempts at fan’s letters had often left her unfulfilled, not that she didn’t love her fans, because for heavens sake they are what she lived her life for, but it seemed like every letter that came she’d never actually get to see their faces. She’d never get to see behind their mask, which was what made her turn her head at the poem this one person had written her. Somehow they had known that she was hiding behind the mystery opponent mask, while Marduk was awaiting some man, the fans had been able to penetrate through and see her behind that mask. Just like Andre had been able to last week.
Was letting her guard down even such a good idea? When the world seemed to be traumatized by the lack of trust going around lately? Just like Christian had trusted that James would have never done anything like he did to Britney. One of her best friends or what used to be one of her best friends, and now everyone was seeing right through her. Like she was transparent, or not even there.
Meggie tossed the letter down on the counter and she stared at it, long and hard. She had never seen such beautiful work about her before, but for some reason this poem spoke to her. It was right about everything. She wasn’t looking for falling back, but stepping up. She also felt like she was hiding behind a mask, and soon she would have to release it, but what would the fans think of her? Would they think she was scared? For hiding behind her mystery opponent status? Would they think that she was afraid of Marduk, if that is so, then their fallacies couldn’t be more wrong, but she didn’t like giving away that impression. It made her sick to her stomach to think that the fans would see her in that manner.
Her thoughts however were interrupted . When a knock to her door came, and she sighed standing up, climbing from the barstool that set on an island in the center of her kitchen (Like the counter island, not a real island floating in the ocean) and she walked over to the door opening it. She smiled when she saw a man standing there, wearing a uniform, she took a hand tucking her hair behind her ear and slightly moving aside so that he could see her better.
“May I help you sir?”
She asked placing her hands on her hips, now showing off the full stint of her tanned body, a dark halter cutting just before her waistline and a white mini skirt making up her frame. The man just looked down at his delivery papers and stared at thim.
“Yes ma’am it seems we have an order here, for a Meggan Alexander, sent in by an anonymous person. This is the address we were given, is that you?”
The man asked sliding his sunglasses atop his head. Giving a crooked smile to her as she moved slowly to the side sort of hesitant to ask her if that was her name.
“Sorry I never heard of her. This anonymous person wouldn’t happen to be a James Anarchy would it? Or even an Andrei Vitalit.”
The man looked down at his list, before he looked back up, obviously she may’ve guessed it right, but he couldn’t share that information and he sighed wearily.
“Ma’am I am afraid that information is classified, but if it is not you, why would you need to know who the sender is?”
She sighed, brushing a piece of loose hair from her face, tucking behind the ear never seemed to work anymore.
“Well my name is Meggie, not Meggan, so whoever sent it, must not know me too awful well. I never go by Meggan. EVER!”
She lifted her head looking back at him.
“Just give me the damn paper. If it bites me I am suing your company.”
The man laughed showing her the box.
“It is only flowers ma’am. Very rare African Orchids actually. Whoever bought them it must’ve cost them a fortune.”
Meggie just shook her head.
“Nope it just cost him a pound.”
She took the paper that was attached to a clip board and signed it quickly, as she grabbed the box, and opened it, the delivery man just standing there in mild amusement at how fierce she was.
“This isn’t his handwriting.”
She looked back up at the delivery man.
“I’m sorry do you need something else?”
He shook his head, then making his exit as she shut the door behind him. She stared down at the note that came with the flowers, it read.
“How’s this for a mystery? You don’t know of me, and you never will, unless the puzzle is solved. Love will not seek you, nor will you find what makes you truly happy. I am the light in your path, and you shall never find what you’re looking for until you have followed me or until you have found yourself six feet beneath the ground.”
Meggie stared for a few moments reading over the words. Was there anyone that didn’t know she was the mystery opponent? Maybe she should just wear a shirt to the match that says “I’m Marduk’s mystery opponent” for those lavish few who hadn’t figured it out yet.
She sighed, staring at the writing. She just laughed.
“Great James, keep on adding in your little games, having your assistant send me something as if I’m not going to know. Great work. Have him try and scare me with those foolish phrases”
Meggie shook her head, sliding the orchids away from her as she looked at the note again. She had never seen such beautiful script before, there was no way a man with arms the size of Andrei’s would’ve been able to write so neatly. The muscles in his hands wouldn’t be as dynamic as those in his upper body, and the strength would lie in his biceps instead of in the smaller muscles, making his writing unreadable. So who could it be? She didn’t know anyone else with connections to James. She didn’t know hardly anyone for that matter, anyone that would want to help her solve this anyways. She had pissed Christina off. Andre had gone back to Portugal, after their one moment of professed love and that one kiss that might never happen again. Since she wouldn’t see him again. It made her tear up thinking about it, so she just shoved it away. Though she still wondered in the back of her mind how he could say he loved her and just leave her like he did.
She now focused on the note, and then with a smile she had a brainy idea, if anything there was one man who would make sure that James Anarchy was unable to pull anything against her, and she knew that he of all people would help her. Since he was her friend, he would definitely help her solve this. There had to be some way to solve it and if there was, she and Christian would find out.
She turned now calling out to Gloria (her maid) and she heard the sound of feet coming up the stairs, she knew that Gloria would have her house phone since Gloria answered all her calls, except for the one’s on her cell phone. Which Meggie answered privately.
“Gloria would you please dial up Mr. Stevens number for me? It’s important.”
Gloria nodded, looking through the caller I. D. and handing her the number from which Christian had called last time. Meggie and he had talked quite a bit after her showdown with James and the recent news of her new found love leaving, it had put her back in her depressed mood. She needed something to bring her to life.
“Here you go Miss Alexnader.”
Gloria said handing her the phone. It was ringing already as Meggie put the reciever to her ear and set back down in her stool. She had a lot of thinking to do about this. Why would some mysterious man send her flowers? Or was it even a man? The thought of Christina came into her mind, but there was no way that Christina would do such a thing. If anything it’d be roses that were painted black.
Meggie just shook her head no being able to make out a culprit, but her thoughts were jarred by the sound of Christian answering the telephone.
“Hel.. Hello?”
She couldn’t hear him much, the room where he was seemed loud, but Meggie knew that he was on his cell phone, probably at the mall, or doing whatever it might be that his lovely wife was wanting to do that day, since the broken jaws he was trying to please her. That was something she loved about Christian. He always tried to please his wife.
“Heya, it’s me! You will never believe what happened.”
She heard the noise dim down a bit as she figured he was moving somewhere more private so that he could talk to her.
“What is going on?”
She heard him ask as it seemed all the noise wherever he was had gone and she smiled being able to hear him better. He had been her main supporter when Bryan had offered her the deal to be Marduk’s mystery opponent. Though Bryan probably couldn’t stand her, because she hated AMH. He hated Marduk more and Meggie had been very reliable at defying the odds for him. So he liked at least that aspect of her personality.
“Well, I was sitting here reading some of the fan mail, that had been passed out by the mail carrier yesterday because I had some down time, and then this guy came to the door and said that someone had sent me flowers.”
Christian laughed lightly.
“Meggie, you think you getting flowers is strange? Woman you are gorgeous! Why would that be weird you should probably get them a lot more.”
Meggie giggled.
“Would you let me finish please! It wasn’t just any type of flower, it was rare African orchids. They’re very expensive, I think thirty dollars for just one bloom, and This bouquet is jammed packed, whoever this person was they spent a pretty penny, just to send me a strange note. Something about me being a mystery or something weird like that. I think it was James, but it makes me worry.”
She didn’t hear him for a few moments, he was probably analyzing everything that she had just said. It wasn’t like Meggie to get worked up so easily and he knew that. So Christian was analyzing it very thoroughly.
“So whoever this guy is, he knows about you being the mystery opponent? Though only a select few members of the xWo only do.”
Meggie nodded, though he couldn’t see it and then she replied to him.
“Yeah, and I mean it’s not just that, but the note said that I needed to figure out this puzzle or I would find love. . .”
She stopped staring down at the last line of the note again. The part about her finding her grave horrified her. As if death hadn’t been after her enough already when she was being chased by the government, but now she had this on her shoulders. It was all too much.
“And. . .”
Christian knew that there was something else, because Meggie never stopped in the middle of her setences unless she was in pain, or had something that was hard for her to say, that needed to be said. He had learned that about her very quickly.
“Well, the last line says that if I don’t figure it out, I will have found myself six feet beneath the ground.”
Her voice quivered at the beautiful mystery. It was sadistic yet thrillingly romantic and that was something that seized her insides. It attacked her heart and left her with nothing but bitter fear.
“Christian, I can’t handle being chased again! I’ve had to deal with too much of that already! It is why James and I are not like we were anymore, though when he attacked you we wouldn’t be like that anyways, but I need help!”
Suddenly it had hit her like a wave of panic, she was truly afraid. It hadn’t shocked her until she had analyzed the written words once more, she really was going to be in danger, yet again, even after she had gotten James out of her life. This made a tear drip down her cheek. She didn’t want to live in fear anymore, why did she have to fight for her life?
“Meg, just calm down. I’ll be there soon.”
Meggie nodded, hanging up the phone. She’d have to get ready in case someone was trying to come after her. She wouldn’t let that happen.
Meanwhile, at the Anarchy household, James set behind his large oak desk, flipping through a picture album. It was one Meggie had put together for him, when they had first started dating, he didn’t let anyone know that he possessed it. It was something he wasn’t proud of and since she had told him she hated him that feeling of pain came back to him. He had done a lot of stuff to make her hate him, that he knew, but he couldn’t help it. Without her that is just the way it is. He needed her more then she knew.
While James was staring however, we hear the sound of the door quickly open and James slammed the book shut being taken aback by Andrei Vitali and another friend of his, whom James hadn’t really been seen hanging out with that much until recently. Patrik Svensson. The swede didn’t seem all that bad, minus his English, and he could fight like hell, but most of all he helped into making James plans work tenfold.
“Did plans go accordingly?”
The two looked at one another before Vitali began to speak up.
“Aye sir, they went as planned. The flowers were delivered, and Svensson pulled the note off quite well. We had her flipping in her bullocks.”
James and Svensson both looked at him with confused glances before Svensson turned back, his charming face, and hazel eyes staring at James.
“Certainly Sire, te flowers were sent to te house, promptly.”
James grinned.
“And you are more then prepared to charm her when the time comes?”
James asked staring at Svensson who seemed to just laugh. He was the bad boy of all bad boys how could he not be prepared. He knew how to charm any lady.
“Aye, if she is like any other lass, it should be no problem.”
James rubbed a hand across around his cheeks and down over his lips before he let out a slight chuckle.
“That’s the problem there Pat, she isn’t like other women. She’s like no other girl I’ve met. She keeps you surprised, keeps you on your toes. She strong, intelligent, and can contend with any man in the world. Never backs down and has a heart of gold. You better be at your best. The A-game, you’ve have to give it all you’ve got because if you don’t she’ll see right through it.”
Andrei’s chuckle could be heard as James looked up now wondering what he might be laughing at.
“Sorry sir, but I think you’re giving the broa. . . Woman too much credit. She is a tough cookie, but she’s not that tough.”
James shook his head.
“You of all people should know how tough she is. She kicked you ass last week.”
Vitali looked offended now.
“Aye! She caught me off guard. I was high damn it!”
James shrugged off his reply looking back over to Svensson.
“You better be up on your game, I’m telling you. To even get a date with her, I was chained to a coffee table and left there for hours without food, drink, or anything. She’s powerful, she’s quick, and most of all she is gorgeous. She can use her eyes to put you in a trance, she can use that lovely tanned body to make your mind warp and to give her what she wants, but most of the time if you can’t give it to her, or you won’t. She’ll make you and she has that power.”
Svensson nodded. Not for a second understanding him. There was no way this girl could possess so much power. He had seen her, and yes she was beautiful, but she couldn’t that tough, nor that smart. There was just no way possible. There was no woman like that on this earth.
“Women like that, don’t exist on this earth Sire.”
James just smiled.
“You’ll see soon enough. Make sure you get her where I want her to be. Break her heart, and do it right! Make her fall in love with you and then rip every shred of love she has in her away.”
He looked confused.
“And why do you want to do this exactly?”
James just continued smiling.
“So she will know how it feels.”
Patrik stared at him, and then shrugged not really having a care on the matter. He didn’t care for much, but he wasn’t always the bad boy type either. Just putting in time until he could get off parole, but that was something he’d have to keep out of the conversations he’d have with her. The plan was simple, make her love him. It couldn’t be so hard right? At least he thought so, as he walked out of the room, heading to do some planning.
Back at the Alexander household, Meggie had begun to lace up on the weapons, her arsenal had increased since the battle with Vitalti out in her front yard. She had sent Gloria home and told her not to come back until she called. Letting her know that her pay wouldn’t be cut, she just needed some alone time. The boys were going to stay with their uncle back in North Carolina, and she would make sure that nothing happened to herself. She’d miss her babies, but it was the only way.
When she heard Christian knock at the door, her heart had began to lighten. The burden she had put on herself was unbelievable, but there was no way she’d let this stop her form beating Marduk. She’d just solve this own little mystery of hers and then be back on her track to the holder of the xWo title. Simple and plain. She was going to get it one way or another. No matter how bad she had to pummel Marduk. No matter how good he was that title would be hers.
She hugged Christian when she saw him in the doorway and then when she saw Britney Britney behind him, she let out a gasp and hugged her friend, for the first time in a while.
“Oh my god I am so glad you guys came.”
She didn’t let go of the hug on Britney, until Christian had practically pulled her apart, and then she stared up at him.
“Come on and I will show you the note. I didn’t want to be a bother, but it scared me half to death. Literally. The boys are staying with Their uncle while I get things settled here. I don’t want them to be put in danger. I swear James brought me more conflict than anything.”
Meggie turned looking at Britney as she said this and she oh so barely touched her face, giving it a soft rub.
“I should’ve killed him for doing that to her, but I wanted to leave that to you.”
She said now turning back to Christian, who had a dull smile on his face. He was happy to see Meggie, but not so much to hear the name of the man who had taken everything from him. Who had caused him so much pain. He wanted to kill him and leave him dead, but he had to resist the urge to do so.
“Can we please just not have a conversation about him for once, he isn’t worth it.”
Meggie nodded.
“As you wish Chris. I will not talk about him again, let’s move on I suppose to whoever sent these flowers. I know I put on a big front about not needing anyone, but I really need you guys. More then you know.”
Christian just gave a soft smirk.
“Yeah, yeah, Miss xWo title. Don’t try to make us feel important, we’re just here to help.”
Meggie just nodded, now heading into the house and shutting the door to make sure no one was looking on. She had felt a presence of when the government was after her, but for now, it didn’t feel like that and so she felt safe. She had followed behind Britney, playing with her chestnut brown hair, and softly running the silky smooth strands through her hands as they had done before. Many people had called the two of them names before. Adding to the fact that they were lesbians, but Meggie had ignored that. Did it make a girl a lesbian to play with her hair? No it didn’t.
“This note does seem like something he’d pull.”
Christian said, now breaking Meggie from her trance as she turned back to Christian and nodded. Now turning on her intelligent side, a side that many people didn’t know she possessed until she needed too. She could turn it on at any point though, but most of the time she didn’t need it. She had many faults, but her brain was not one of them. Her heart, now that could be a different story.
“Yeah I thought so too. You know how he is with his riddles and saying complicated things for things that could be made simple. He tries to use bigger words to replace the small ones to confuse people, but it doesn’t work when that person understands them. It didn’t take me long to see that the calligraphy was that of a foreigner. My bet is on the Russian, but I also ruled that out because the script is neat. So then I thought of And. . .”
She stopped looking down trying not to bring that name into her head. He would’ve never done such a thing to her.
“But he would have no reason to do so. So I’m thinking this is someone new. Someone I’ve never met before, or maybe someone I have, but I just don’t remember them. Someone outside of the wrestling business. Maybe even those two guys from the government that were never caught in Ireland. I mean I don’t know who it is. It could even be one of my brother’s. Definitely not ruling out Michael.”
Christian just grinned shaking his head.
“You definitely have a big hit list.”
Meggie nodded.
“It’s what I get for being a phenomenal woman, they can’t stand that I am better then them. It drives them crazy, and I’m sure I’ll be able to add Marduk to that list soon. He is going to want to kill me when I take that title from him.”
Meggie just grinned.
“You that confident huh?”
She sighed scrunching up her lips and moving her head from side to side to signify that she kind was.
“I kind of am. I mean I’m not underestimating him. His win streak is almost as large as mine, I’m only two wins ahead of him, but I really want this. I mean more then I’ve wanted anything in my entire life. Almost more then I wanted my kids and you know how badly I want them. I want them more then I want life. It’s why I fight so hard and do what I do. That title has everything that I’ve fought for and it is only a few feet away from my grasp. One match and glory to in signify my greatest victory ever. I mean you know what that’s like. You’ve felt it, and I haven’t. I just want it so much.”
Christian just grinned, not saying much, still holding the note in his hand.
“Well then we shall knock this mysterious flower sender out of the way so you can achieve that goal. We just have to come up with some sort of plan to take him down. We can’t let him run a muck like he is trying to do.”
Meggie nodded agreeing tenfold.
“Yeah, but we need to know where to start first. I mean we don’t even know what we’re looking for. What if Marduk found out about me, and he’s trying to scare me away?”
Christian laughed.
“Craig’s not that kind of guy. When he is going up against you he won’t back down, and he’ll give you his all, unlike any of these other men you’ve faced. He will treat you as an equal, you best believe that.”
Meggie just grinned.
“Good, because that’s how I want to be treated.”
She smiled now walking over to Christian, and she pulled Britney along behind her. They had a long night ahead of them. They had to make sure that this was solved. Meggie had the most important match of her long journey ahead of her, and it’d just keep winding it’s path through the mountain side.
Patrik had retired to his room, in the Anarchy Mansion, James had been kind enough to give him one of the lavish suites that he had built specially for Meggie’s friends when they used to come over. However, now the rooms just stayed empty, except for the one of Patrik’s use. He had set on his bed trying to think out a plan on just how to fool Meggie. If she was as smart as James had said, it was going to take more then what he normally did.
He had already used his writing on the note that he sent with the flowers, he had spent hours of his time working on his poetry. Most of his poems seemed to be beautiful in a wicked way. It was a downfall to prison time, you seemed to learn more about yourself then you wanted too. More then you’d ever wanted to know anything.
It was strange, but if it weren’t for the bars he would’ve never known anything about himself, except for the beautiful mystery that was his soul.
Vitali, had made his way to Mr. Svensson’s room he too wanting the plans to go smoothly. He knew of the kids brains and wit, long before he had entered the xWo. Svensson was like a legend in Russia for his heist on Moscow, and his skydive onto the soviets in St. Petersburg. He was like a legend to his people, if you were part of the mafia, and he was the best in criminal work, though he hid it well with his posterior. He looked to be your average everyday type, but he had made his money off of hacking into the government and putting it into his own Swedish bank account. A plan of absolute brilliance.
Vitali, knew his planning would go good, there was no way that Meggie would stand this guy. There was no way she’d outsmart him like she had done he and James the few days before. She had gotten the best of him once, but with Svensson on his side there was no way that this could go wrong.
“How does the planning go chief?”
Svensson turned now staring at Vitali who stood in the doorframe, leaned against the left side of it. (from Svensson’s direction)
“It does go well. She is a tough case, but I believe this plan is full proof. Our beautiful mystery is just beginning to bloom. She will be cracked and heart broken in no time. You just make sure my slate gets whiped clean.”
Vitali nodded.
“Aye! Don’t you trust me? I have done nothing but proclaim greatness to you, I will not let you down. I’ve already gotten you a nice job, making plenty of money until you get back on your criminal feet.”
Patrik grinned.
“I am not into that sort of thing anymore. The heist of Moscow was just for kicks. I have learned a few things since then. I only live for the thrills now, this being one of them.”
Andrei stared in wonderment.
“How is this a challenge?”
Patrik looked up staring at him with disbelief.
“My friend, women that look like this one, and have the brains of this one are one to one million. It’s like a vampire slayer in a way, except those don’t exist. This woman is real, she can fend for herself, but only finds comfort in what she needs. She is strong, from what I can see already, and she is mysterious. Mr. Anarchy said that she can throw anything at you. Mystery is a beautiful thing. A gift to what we can bring. I know if I have to bring my best, she certainly will be bringing hers. That is what makes it a challenge.”
Vitali just shrugged.
“She however, doesn’t know you’re coming.”
Svensson nodded.
“For now she doesn’t. So that is my only advantage.
The two stared at one another, long and hard their gazes lasted. Meggie would be a tough challenge for any man. They knew that, and if Svensson and his mind games wouldn’t be enough to take her down, then maybe Craig Marduk might be. However, Mystery is something one doesn’t want to mess with. Because once the mystery turns out to be. Most of the time the mystery ends up being hurt. Unless of course, the beautiful mystery destroys you. In which Marduk’s case it would be true.
For now though, Meggie had other fish to fry. With Christian by her side, there would be no stopping her. That much was true. Meggie would defeat any man in her path. Svensson would soon learn that. Until then though, the beautiful mystery still remained. What a beautiful thing.
